i had read this blog before travelling on the rajdhani, the journey from blore to delhi was good, however the towels were not given, there was a retired colonel who decided to file a complaint and he did, the staff told that there was no supply etc, the soup was ok starchy with some bread sticks, quality of food was not bad atleast i didnt fall sick, small packets of amul butter will be given along with every meal and snacks, coach was good while going no cockroaches, however while coming there were some roaches, well the usual after everything they will come for tips or baksheesh and atleast 10rs is expected, otherwise the train is on time, there is one non official stop at balladsha. i find it a good train atleast the food is on time and you need not worry about the quality of food , however taste is consistent and one might getbored after two meals and tea is the dip chai, so people used to the boiled chai might not adjust.

Actually, the Mumbai Delhi Rajdhani has new German coaches and the service and food quality is much better. Blankets, sheets and towels given are ok and clean. Housekeeping is good - less cockroaches.More importantly, the journey is only 17 hours or so, so you really do not have time to notice various problems.

The Delhi Bangalore Rajdhani runs with old, badly manitained coaches. Everything here is a complete let down.

I still cherish my train journeys. Last time I traveled in train was in Dec '07. The compartment was infested with cockroaches, but for that factor it was a pleasant experience.

Nisha, one person's music can be cacophony to another!

I agree that this is just my opinion and as much as I am entitled to mine, you are entitled to yours! And both of us have ample choices to travel on the route by train.

I do not agree with you at all.

I am a frequent traveler to Delhi and I have traveled thrice in last one month. Leaving one occasion where I travelled by air, I had to experience all trains though I prefer Rajdhani. Paschim Express, August Kranti and Rajdhani. I can always vouch for Rajdhani and none of the things you have mentioned happened or happens in that train.

The songs are old but inspiring, music is soothing and all the controls are with the coach attendant and not anywhere else.
and for your kind info, this time they even gave a customer satisfaction form to fill up !

Perhaps your Rajdhani is different from mine.
